An unidentified object resembling a torpedo was sighted floating in a canal in the Moudubi area of Rangabali upazila in Patuakhali. Local residents discovered the object in the Bhangar canal near Jahajmara beach on Sunday morning. According to local reports, the object entered the canal from the Bay of Bengal through the Ravanabad channel. Upon notification by locals, the police arrived at the scene. The Coast Guard has been alerted about the incident. Abul Kalam Azad, the contingent commander of the Coast Guard Rangabali Outpost, suggested that the object may be a torpedo rather than a missile. He indicated that the object's emergence to the surface could imply it has been used or damaged. However, given the potential risk of explosion, the Coast Guard will assess the object further before taking any action based on the findings.
