The Bangladesh Rapid Action Battalion, RAB-6, is providing primary healthcare and humanitarian aid to those affected by Cyclone Remal in Koira, Khulna, and Mongla, Bagerhat.

This initiative was outlined in a circular issued by the RAB-6 Khulna office on Tuesday night, May 28th.

RAB reports that Cyclone Remal, which struck on May 26th and 27th, inflicted severe damage across coastal regions of Khulna, Bagerhat, and Satkhira, leaving millions stranded in floodwaters and causing significant loss of property and livelihoods.

Prior to the cyclone's landfall, RAB-6 had been coordinating with local administrations and public representatives in these coastal areas to warn residents and engage in swift rescue operations post-impact.

Additionally, RAB-6 has been distributing essential dry goods such as rice, lentils, flour, oil, flattened rice, molasses, saline, and clean water to cyclone victims in Mongla and Koira, along with other essential relief items and cooked meals, ensuring vital humanitarian assistance reaches those in need.
