After the fierce cyclone Remale wreaked havoc in the region, leaving devastation in its wake, the resilient community of Kalapara, located in the Patuakhali district, faced the arduous task of rebuilding their lives from scratch. Among those severely affected were 115 families, grappling with the aftermath of the calamity.

In response to their plight, a concerted effort was initiated by the Brac Kalapara Branch, symbolizing a ray of hope amidst the despair. On a solemn Friday afternoon, at precisely 3:00 PM, the community gathered as Brac representatives extended a helping hand in the form of essential food supplies.

Each family received a vital lifeline comprising rice, lentils, potatoes, onions, oil, salt, and soap – commodities not just for sustenance but also for maintaining hygiene in trying times. The palpable relief and gratitude resonated among the recipients, echoing the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity.
