Ukhiya July 4 (V7N0- Senior Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen visited the Rohingya camps in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar. On Thursday, July 4, he arrived at Camp 20 with an eight-member delegation.
At 11:00 AM, the delegation visited the Innovation Valley operated by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Block M-39 of Camp 20. They inspected the newly constructed Rohingya shelters by the IOM.
At 11:30 AM, the delegation visited an NGO-run learning center in Block M-12 of Camp 18, operated by SKUS. They interacted with the Rohingya children studying there and learned about the educational system of the learning center.
At 11:45 AM, the delegation visited the newly constructed fire service building in Block M-12 of Camp 18. Subsequently, they visited the Primary Health Care Center operated by UNHCR in Block A-2 of Camp 12. They also participated in a photo session at the Bangladesh-Myanmar Friendship Road near the Ghumdhum BOP.
By 1:15 PM, the delegation visited the Skill Development Program operated by the NGO Forum in Block D of Kutupalong Registered Camp. After the visit, the delegation left the camp area for Cox's Bazar at 1:30 PM.
The delegation included Additional Foreign Secretary (Bilateral East and West) Md. Nazrul Islam, Deputy Chief of Mission Faiyaz Murshid Kazi, Director General (Myanmar Wing) Mia Mohammad Mainul Kabir, Director to the Foreign Secretary's Office Md. Jobaied Hossain, Senior Assistant Secretary (Myanmar Wing) Biswajit Debnath, Assistant Secretary Sajjad Hossain, Personal Officer to the DG Zakir Hossain, and Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner Mizanur Rahman.
