Patuyakhali, Aug 17 (V7N) - A low-pressure system has developed over the northwestern Bay of Bengal and adjacent Gangetic West Bengal, affecting the coastal regions of the country.
As a result, the Bay of Bengal near Kuakata is highly turbulent, with a heavily overcast sky. Rainfall persists in the coastal areas.
The meteorological office has issued a warning for possible gusty winds due to this low-pressure system. Consequently, all maritime ports, including Payra, have been instructed to hoist local cautionary signal number 3.
Fishing trawlers have been advised to navigate cautiously and remain close to the coast.
