Sept 19, V7N - In Kalihati, Tangail, free Maskalai seeds and chemical fertilizers were distributed to local farmers as part of an incentive program aimed at boosting agricultural production.

The distribution took place on Thursday, September 19, at 11 a.m. on the premises of the Upazila Parishad, organized by the Kalihati Agriculture Extension Department. The event was led by Upazila Executive Officer Shahadat Hussain, with the goal of supporting small and marginal farmers in increasing the production of Maskalai for the 2024-25 financial year Kharip-2 season.

Upazila Agriculture Officer Farhana Mamun and Agriculture Extension Officer Jannatun Naeem were also present at the event.

According to Farhana Mamun, under the program, each of the 100 participating farmers received 5 kg of Maskalai seeds, 10 kg of DAP fertilizer, and 5 kg of MOP fertilizer.
