Dhaka, Dec 31 (V7N) — In a powerful display of solidarity and victory, students of Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) travelled to the Central Shaheed Minar today to participate in the 'March for Unity' program announced by the anti-discrimination student movement.

Two buses arranged by the university administration departed from the MBSTU campus at 9:30 am, carrying around 100 students filled with hope and joy. The journey, described by many as a symbolic victory lap, reflected the culmination of a long struggle for justice and equality.

Naimur Rahman, a Computer Science and Engineering student, shared his emotional journey, stating, "Today, I truly feel the taste of victory. From being thrown out of the hall and spending nights in fear to this moment of triumph, it has been an extraordinary journey. The joy and satisfaction I feel are beyond words."

Echoing similar sentiments, Sajib Hasan, a student of Economics, said, "This revolution goes beyond ordinary students; it represents the entire country. No obstacle can deter the spirit of today's 'March for Unity.' This is a movement for everyone."

The 'March for Unity' is the culmination of the anti-discrimination movement that began amidst significant challenges and opposition. Despite moments of indecision and uncertainty in the lead-up to the event, the central coordinators reassured participants during a late-night press conference, declaring the march a symbol of unity and victory.

The students gathered at the Central Shaheed Minar to witness the unveiling of the final manifesto of the movement, a historic moment that represents the culmination of their efforts and the realisation of their goals.

The event stands as a testament to the resilience and determination of students in their fight against injustice and their commitment to fostering unity and equality across the nation.
