Dhaka, July 20, (V7N) – The schedule for the much-anticipated Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) election will be announced on July 29, and the polls are expected to be held by the second week of September, the DUCSU Election Commission has confirmed.
DUCSU Chief Returning Officer Professor Dr. Mohammad Jasim Uddin made the announcement during a meeting held at the Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building on Sunday morning.
Earlier, the Election Commission held a consultative meeting with the presidents and general secretaries of various active student organizations and bus route coordinators to finalize the election process and logistics.
It was decided that this year's election will be conducted across six polling centers. The centers and the respective student halls assigned to each are as follows:

Curzon Hall Center (Examination Hall): For students of Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Hall, Amar Ekushey Hall, and Fazlul Haque Hall.

Physical Education Center: For students of Jagannath Hall, Shaheed Sergeant Zahurul Haque Hall, and Salimullah Muslim Hall.

Student-Teacher Center (TSC): For students of Rokeya Hall, Shamsun Nahar Hall, and Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall.

Dhaka University Club Center: For students of Bangladesh-Kuwait Friendship Hall and Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall.

Senate Bhaban Center (Alumni Floor, Seminar Room, Dining Room): For students of Sir A.F. Rahman Hall, Haji Muhammad Mohsin Hall, and Bijoy Ekattor Hall.

Udayan School and College Center: For students of Surya Sen Hall, Muktijoddha Ziaur Rahman Hall, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall, and Kabi Jasim Uddin Hall.
The Election Commission has emphasized that arrangements will be made to ensure a fair and transparent electoral process.
