Pabna, July 11 (V7N)- Students of Pabna Government Edward College joined the nationwide demand for reinstating and reforming the 2018 quota notification in government jobs by staging a protest and blocking the Pabna-Ishwardi highway.

On Thursday, July 11, at around 12:30 PM, the protest began in front of the main gate of the college, where students blocked the Pabna-Ishwardi highway.

The blockade, which lasted for half an hour, caused a halt in traffic on both sides of the road. Eventually, the students returned to the campus following a request from the administration.

Prior to the highway blockade, around 12 PM, general students had gathered in front of the Sociology Department. Holding placards that called for quota reform, they protested on the campus for a short period.

Subsequently, the students moved to the Pabna-Ishwardi highway, where they continued their protest and chanted various slogans demanding quota reform.
