Pabna, July 13 (V7N)- A vibrant Seasonal Fruit Festival featuring ten varieties of local fruits was celebrated at Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST), organized by the university's Press Club.

The festival took place on Saturday, (July 13) at noon in Gallery-2 of the university. Faculty members, staff, political leaders, social and cultural organization representatives, and various media personnel attended the joyous event.

Professor Dr. S.M. Mostafa Kamal Khan, the Pro-Vice Chancellor of PUST, was the chief guest. Treasurer Professor Dr. K.M. Salauddin attended as a special guest. The event was presided over by the President of the University Press Club, Abdullah Al Mamun, and conducted by the General Secretary, Zahidul Islam.

In his speech, Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. S.M. Mostafa Kamal Khan praised the Press Club's initiative, noting the refreshing change from the long-standing tense environment to a festive one. He encouraged the Press Club to continue organizing such delightful events in the future.

Treasurer Professor Dr. K.M. Salauddin expressed his happiness at seeing the local fruits, collected by journalists from rural areas, and acknowledged this effort as a testament to their connection with the common people of the country. He thanked the Press Club leaders for their commendable work.

Press Club President Abdullah Al Mamun highlighted the joy of sharing fruits with university teachers, friends, and colleagues, emphasizing the unique experience of the festival. He expressed hope to continue such events in the future.

Other speakers at the event included Dr. Md. Habibullah, Chairman of the History Department, and Faridul Islam Babu and Md. Nurullah, President and General Secretary of the PUST Chhatra League, respectively.
