Tangail, Agu 06 (V7N) - On August 5th, at 3:00 p.m., students at Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU), Tangail, gathered to celebrate the downfall of the long-standing authoritarian regime. The students, who have been actively protesting against discrimination, expressed their jubilation as they marked the end of what they termed the "fascist government."

The celebration included a festive procession through Tangail town, with students from the campus joining in to cheer and commemorate the occasion. They marched along the Dhaka-Tangail highway, spreading their message of triumph.

In their remarks, the students conveyed:

"This victory belongs to the student body, to the country, and to its people. We are committed to ensuring that no discrimination will prevail in this country going forward. We demand a fair trial and the eradication of all forms of injustice, including violence, riots, and disappearances. Our fight against suppression and injustice will continue. This nation, and we as students, will no longer tolerate any injustice. We are advocates of freedom, honoring the spirit of our freedom fighters.

Today marks another victory for us. We embarked on this movement with the goal of securing not just freedom of expression, but also the right to dissent for every citizen. Ensuring this will make the sacrifices of our martyrs meaningful. We honor the memory of those who lost their lives in this struggle and hope for the swift and unconditional release of those who were unjustly detained."
