DHAKA, March 24, (V7N) — Admission to private medical and dental colleges in MBBS and BDS courses for the 2025–26 academic session began today and will continue until March 31, according to the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME).
A list of selected candidates has been prepared through automated software based on online applications, considering merit and preference order. “Selected students must complete their admission at the respective colleges within the stipulated time,” the DGME directive stated.
Subject to vacant seats, admitted students will have the opportunity to migrate to other medical or dental colleges through an online optional migration process. Applications for migration can be submitted between 5 pm on March 29 and 5 pm on March 31.
Detailed information regarding the list of selected candidates and admission procedures is available on the websites of the DGME, Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), and respective colleges.
The directive further mentioned:
Original certificates will be verified and retained by college authorities during admission.
Students must undergo a medical examination by a medical board before admission.
At the initial stage, each student must deposit Tk 100,000. Remaining fees, as determined by the government, must be paid after completion of the migration process.
No additional fees beyond the prescribed amount can be charged under any circumstances.
