Dhaka, Mar 06 (V7N) — Taking advantage of the weekly holiday, a large number of children thronged the book fair on Friday, enjoying a day free from school and the routine of carrying heavy bags filled with books.
From the morning, the main premises of the fair became lively with the presence of young readers during the designated children’s hour. Along with buying various books, children enthusiastically participated in several entertaining and educational activities, including puppet shows and bioscope displays.
Through the puppet shows, organizers delivered messages encouraging children to develop the habit of reading books and to practice good deeds. Educational stories were also presented through the bioscope, drawing the attention and curiosity of the young visitors.
The fairground turned into a cheerful environment as families walked around together, with parents accompanying their children to different stalls. Many parents were seen purchasing their children’s favorite books.
Parents said that such events play an important role in expanding children’s mental horizons and creativity beyond the four walls of classrooms. They also believe that initiatives like the book fair help inspire the new generation to develop a lasting interest in reading.
