Santiago, Nov 30 (V7N) – A group of Chilean filmmakers is producing a feature film to present the story of Palestine’s long-standing oppression, occupation, and human rights violations. The project focuses on the lives, resistance, and humanitarian struggles of people in war-torn Gaza, Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera reported on Sunday.
The filmmakers said their inspiration comes from the determination of ordinary Palestinians striving to survive amid ongoing conflict. Through extensive research, interviews, and fieldwork, they aim to create a narrative that raises awareness about the reality of Palestine, particularly in Latin America outside the Arab world.
They added that the Palestinian voice is often marginalized in mainstream international media. The film seeks to give a platform to those stories, highlighting human rights violations, insecurity, life amid ruins, and the resilience and optimism of affected communities.
The filmmakers intend to submit the movie to international film festivals, hoping it will allow global audiences to better understand the Palestinian issue and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
