Dhaka, July 25 (V7N) – Days after a tragic fighter jet crash at Milestone School and College in Diyabari, Uttara, crowds of curious and grieving citizens continue to gather outside the school premises.

On Friday (July 25), large numbers of people were seen arriving from different parts of the city to witness the aftermath of the deadly incident. Many were seen trying to take photos and videos with their mobile phones, while some attempted to enter the damaged building. However, law enforcement officers deployed at the site have been strictly prohibiting any unauthorized entry into the school.

Students of Milestone School who visited the site appeared visibly shaken, still traumatized by the horrifying memories of the crash. Many stood in silence in front of the school gates, recalling the moment when the Bangladesh Air Force fighter jet plummeted into their campus, igniting a fire that consumed lives in an instant.

Meanwhile, medical assistance from abroad has arrived in Dhaka to support the treatment of the victims. A five-member Chinese medical delegation, including specialist doctors and nurses, landed in the capital on Thursday night (July 24). They will assist in treating the burn and injured victims of the plane crash.

Previously, two other medical teams — one from India and another from Singapore — arrived on Wednesday (July 23) to support local medical staff at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

As of Friday morning, 42 people remain under treatment at the Burn Institute, 6 of whom are in critical condition, according to hospital sources.

The plane crash has claimed the lives of at least 33 people, most of them children, and continues to shake the nation with grief and unanswered questions.
