FEB 12 (V7N) - Unofficial results from 90 out of 186 polling centres in Bandarban show BNP candidate Saching Prue, contesting with the Sheaf of Paddy symbol, in a commanding lead. He has secured 60,794 votes so far.

His nearest rival, Abu Sayeed Md. Suja Uddin of the National Citizen Party (NCP), running with the Shapla Koli symbol, has received 10,274 votes.

With more than half of the centres yet to report, the early figures indicate a strong advantage for the BNP candidate in this hill district constituency.
