At Bagerhat's Rampal thermal power facility, armed bandits injured five security guards, including two Ansar members.  The attack happened in the fifth yard of the thermal power plant's residential building on Wednesday, April 3, between 11:00 and 11:30.  After being saved, the injured were brought to the hospital.  This information was verified by Anwarul Azim, the Thermal Power Station's deputy general manager.
 
He said that a group of fifty to sixty armed bandits attempted to break into the power plant's residential building between 11:00 and 11:30 p.m. The gunmen attacked the gate security officers when they were prevented.

When the Ansar members rushed to the call of the security personnel, the robbers also attacked the Ansar members.  Five people including two Ansar members were injured in their attack.  Two of them have been admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital and three to Rampal Upazila Health Complex.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rampal Police Station Somen Das said, we have received reports of 5 injured in the attack by armed men.  Police have launched an operation to identify and arrest the attackers.  Police have been deployed at the spot.
