Additionally, the district administration has halted ship movements from Inani Navy Wharf in Cox's Bazar to St. Martin.

On Monday, April 8, Cox's Bazar Additional District Magistrate Yamin Hossain gave notice of this new ruling.

Due to the risk of tourist traffic resulting from the violence in Myanmar, the district administration earlier declared the suspension of ship travel from Teknaf to Saint Martin. Afterwards, it was decided to relocate the ship from the Navy Wharf at Cox's Bazar. However, ship movements from the Inani Navy Ghat have been prohibited since the day after Eid due to the increasing risk posed by the situation in Myanmar near Saint Martin.

The impact of the Myanmar conflict is now more towards St. Martin, according to the District Magistrate, even if at first the ship movement from Teknaf Damdamiya Wharf to St. Martin was suspended.
There are more reports of conflict in that side of Rakhine. So the administration does not want to take any risk by allowing any movement of tourists.

Yamin Hossain said that the ship will not operate through any wharf until further orders.
