Kuakata June 20,(V7N)- This year, the number of tourists visiting the Kuakata tourist center during the Eid holidays was lower than expected, leaving hotel and motel owners disappointed. Most of the visitors were locals. Those who came enjoyed dancing and singing with the ocean waves, engaging in lively activities with friends, sitting on beach benches to soak in the natural beauty, or exploring scenic spots on horses, water bikes, or motorcycles. There was a noticeable presence of tourists at various attractions, including the confluence of the three rivers, Lembur Forest, Jhau Garden, and Gangamati Beach.

To ensure the safety of the visitors, tourist police, river police, local police, and fire service members were actively patrolling the area. Despite special discounts, most hotel and motel rooms remained empty. While there was a crowd of local visitors at the tourist spots, the intense heat and prolonged lack of rain had made life difficult for everyone. On the third day of Eid, Wednesday morning, sudden rain brought relief to the tourism area. Visitors were seen enjoying themselves along several kilometers of the beach from Zero Point to the east and west sides, reveling in the rain and sea bathing.

Tourist Tabassum Tania shared, "I came to Kuakata with my family during the Eid holidays. The natural beauty here has mesmerized us. We've experienced both light and moderate rain, along with swimming in the sea, which is truly a unique feeling."

Tourist Saromoni remarked, "The sky is cloudy, and it rains intermittently. Overall, it's a wonderful environment. The southern breeze and the mesmerizing roar of the sea have been very refreshing."

Abul Hossain Raju, Joint General Secretary of the Tour Operators Association of Kuakata (TOAK), mentioned, "There were fewer tourists on the first and second days of Eid. However, the number of visitors began to increase from Wednesday morning on the third day of Eid. Due to the rain, many tourists did not leave their hotel rooms. We hope this situation will continue until Friday."

Abul Kalam Azad, the Superintendent of Police (SP) in charge of the Kuakata Tourist Police Zone, said, "Tourist police are deployed at various spots to ensure the safety of visitors. Additionally, river police, local police, and fire service members are also on the ground. We hope tourists will be able to enjoy their travels safely."
