At the Bishwa Ijtema site in Tongi, the district, three more devotees have passed away, bringing the total number of deaths to 10.

The names of the deceased were as follows: Nousher Ali, 65, from the Sherpur district; Abdul Qader, 55, from the Bhola district; and Shadhin, 45, from the Netrakona district.

Habibulla Raihan, the coordinator for mass media for the Ijtema Organizing Committee, stated today. "They have died of old-age complications mostly from Friday noon to Saturday noon during the first phase of the Bishwa Ijtema" he said.

On the Ijtema site, seven people had perished earlier. Hasanuzzan, a police officer, and two other followers were among those who were crushed by a bus while traveling to the Ijtema venue in Tongi.

One of the biggest Muslim gatherings in the world, the 57th Bishwa Ijtema, began its second phase on Saturday in Tongi with ongoing spiritual activities, such as sermons and the recital of Almighty Allah's glorious names.
