Dhaka, Oct 26 (V7N) – Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) president, Col. (Retd.) Oli Ahmed, stressed the importance of giving the interim government sufficient time to address fifteen years of accumulated issues, asserting that only through thorough reforms can a fair electoral landscape be established. He made these remarks during LDP's foundation anniversary and central conference held at the Engineers Institution in Dhaka.

Col. Oli Ahmed voiced concerns about lingering attempts to destabilize the nation and emphasized that reform efforts, though underway, are progressing slowly. He suggested a collective approach, urging all sectors of society to engage in the reform process for meaningful change.

The LDP president further highlighted the need for integrity in politics, stating that an equitable society can only be achieved if politicians themselves embody honesty and accountability. "The country will move forward only if our leaders set a standard for ethical conduct," he said.

Referring to political divisions, Col. Oli remarked that those involved in the 24th People's Uprising against the Awami League should remain steadfast in their principles and avoid compromise. He called on all major political parties to unite for the country’s protection and future stability.
