Haluaghat, Dec 21 (V7N) — BNP Standing Committee Member and freedom fighter Gayeshwar Chandra Roy has strongly criticised the ruling Awami League, calling it the "worst product of India." He made the statement during the inauguration of a free eye treatment camp organized by the BNP in Haluaghat on Saturday afternoon.

Gayeshwar remarked, "All products will come from India, but Awami League will not be able to come. This party is the worst product of India."

Referring to the current political climate, he stated, "This government will not allow neutral elections if we wait until a new political party is born, grows, and receives registration from the commission to hold elections."

Emphasising electoral reforms, he added, "Reforms will be for elections, not elections for reforms. Further reforms will take place after the elections."

The event was attended by Mymensingh Metropolitan BNP Senior Joint Convener Abu Wahab Akand, District North BNP member Salman Omar Rubel, and other party leaders and activists. The free eye treatment camp was organised as part of the BNP's ongoing outreach activities in the region.
