Dhaka, Dec 21 (V7N) — BNP Standing Committee Member Nazrul Islam Khan has stated that the party will continue to work with other political parties on the country’s political situation and emerging issues. He made the remarks after a meeting with the Liaison Committee and the 12-party alliance at the BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan on Saturday evening.

During the meeting, discussions centred on the existing political climate and potential collaborative strategies. Khan emphasized that the BNP and the 12-party alliance have jointly opposed fascism in the past and that the need for such collaboration remains. "Any decisions arising from these discussions will be announced later," he added.

The leader of the 12-party alliance, Mustafa Jamal Haider, echoed this sentiment, expressing the alliance's commitment to working with the BNP in the future. He revealed that deliberations took place on possible programs to address the country’s current political situation, although no final decisions were reached.

Key BNP leaders, including Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Begum Selima Rahman, and Vice Chairman Abdul Awal Mintu, were also present at the meeting.

The BNP’s renewed commitment to alliances highlights its strategy to strengthen opposition forces in addressing political challenges in Bangladesh. Further updates on joint programs are expected in the coming days.
