Dhaka, Feb 27 (V7N) – A new student organization has emerged with a focus on anti-discrimination, advocating for a more inclusive environment in Bangladesh’s educational institutions. Students from the government Titumir College have expressed concerns that the primary form of discrimination lies in the lack of representation from institutions other than Dhaka University in various committees.

During a protest march on the college premises on Thursday morning, the students stated, “If there is any dictatorship after Sheikh Hasina, it is Dhaka University.” They voiced their grievances about the perceived exclusion of non-Dhaka University students from decision-making bodies.

The protest also included condemnation of recent attacks on private university students, which they allege were part of efforts to marginalize stakeholders within the anti-discrimination student movement. The students warned that if the state fails to take appropriate action against the violence that occurred at Dhaka University on Wednesday, they would implement stricter measures to assert their demands.

Furthermore, the students emphasized the importance of evaluating individuals based on merit, regardless of their political affiliations, calling for a fair and just assessment of all students in the movement.
