DHAKA, Apr 23 (V7N)- BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir urged unity among citizens to reclaim democratic rights and resist any attempts to undermine them. He made this call during a views-exchange meeting held at the BNP Chairperson's political office in Gulshan on April 23, 2025.

The meeting hosted a 20-member delegation of former and current pro-Chhatra Dal doctors from Rangpur Medical College (RMC) Hospital.

During the exchange, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed his wishes for the swift recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and for the long life of acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

He also emphasized the importance of strengthening the Doctors' Association of Bangladesh (DAB), advocating for a more disciplined and publicly beneficial organization across all medical colleges and hospitals nationwide.

Among those present at the meeting were Professor Dr. Khandaker Ziaul Islam Zia, Professor Dr. Mahamudul Haque Sarkar, Professor Dr. Sariful Islam Mondal, Dr. Tozammel Haque Bakul, Dr. Ziaul Haque, Dr. Abu Md. Ahsan Firoz, Dr. Ashraful Islam, and Dr. Mizanur Rahman Shamim.
