Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of the BNP, criticized the Awami League government, labeling it as synonymous with syndicate practices and corruption. He alleged that the government has failed to control the rising prices of daily commodities and has allowed attacks on Muslim devotees' iftar arrangements by the Chatra League. Rizvi claimed that the AL undermines the religious beliefs of Muslims and suppresses Islamic scholars to please their interests. He made these remarks during a press briefing at the BNP Nayapalton Central office.

Rizvi accused the AL of selectively allowing programs on university premises, criticizing their attacks on iftar organizers while permitting other events. He questioned why AL leaders feel ashamed when Muslims celebrate occasions. He alleged that the AL government manipulates Islam for its interests and disregards it when convenient. Rizvi expressed concern that the country's Muslim population is losing its culture and values, claiming they have already lost their voting rights.

He criticized Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for failing to address the hunger crisis during Ramadan and accused the AL of corruption and misuse of power. Rizvi cited instances of financial irregularities involving former ministers and accused the AL of attempting to eradicate the BNP from politics.

Rizvi also accused some media outlets of biased reporting against the BNP, alleging that they publish news without proper investigation or fact-checking to please Sheikh Hasina. He claimed that some media houses have lost their neutrality and are influenced by intelligence agencies.
