Dhaka, Dec 01 (V7N)- A five-member foreign medical team has arrived at the capital’s Evercare Hospital to oversee the treatment of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia. The team reached the hospital on Monday (December 1).
Earlier in the afternoon, BNP Vice Chairman Ahmed Azam Khan told the media that Khaleda Zia’s condition had reached a highly critical stage.
He said, “Khaleda Zia’s condition is very critical—extremely serious. I don’t want to describe the details. You may call it ventilation or a very deep condition.”
Khaleda Zia was taken to Evercare Hospital from her Gulshan residence, Firoza, on the night of November 23 for medical tests. Following evaluations, the medical board recommended immediate admission, after which she has been receiving continuous treatment and monitoring.
The former Prime Minister has long been suffering from multiple health complications, including arthritis, diabetes, and kidney, lung, and eye-related issues. Her current condition has raised significant concerns among party members and well-wishers.
