Pabna, Dec 11 (V7N) – Habibur Rahman Habib, advisor to BNP Chairperson and convener of Pabna district BNP, emphasized the national and international respect for former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, calling for prayers for her health. He said, “She is the leader whose joy brings joy to Bangladesh and whose sorrow brings sorrow. Today, she holds a position of respect not only among BNP members but across all political parties. Leaders worldwide are concerned about her health. Even the Modi government in neighboring India, despite political differences, has assured support for her recovery.”

Habib made these remarks during the welcoming ceremony for 11th-grade students at Bansherbada Degree College in Ishwardi Upazila, Pabna. The event was attended by Lalita Gulshan Mita, president of the college management committee and joint secretary of BNP Women’s Central Committee, former Upazila BNP secretary Azmal Hossain Sujon, and Dapunia Union Parishad Chairman Omar Faruk.

Lalita Gulshan Mita highlighted the importance of collective efforts in establishing the college, stressing that no single individual achieves it alone. She called on students to contribute to building a new Bangladesh and prayed for Khaleda Zia’s swift recovery.

The ceremony was presided over by college principal Amirul Islam, with assistant professor Shariful Islam Sweet serving as master of ceremonies. Key speakers included former Upazila BNP convener Ziaul Islam Santu Sardar, teacher Obaidur Rahman, and lecturer Khalid Hossain. The event began with students and teachers welcoming guests with floral tributes, followed by the main program in the college auditorium.
