Dhaka, Dec 12 (V7N) – BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has called on party leaders and grassroots activists to fully engage in the upcoming electoral battle, emphasizing that victory for the party’s electoral symbol, the Dhaner Shish, is essential to “save the nation.”

Speaking virtually from London during a discussion titled “A Plan to Build the Nation,” held on Thursday at the Krishibid Institution auditorium in Dhaka’s Farmgate, Tarique Rahman urged party supporters to mobilize nationwide. The program was organized by the BNP and attended by leaders of the Juba Dal and Krishak Dal.

Tarique Rahman said the BNP has presented a comprehensive national plan that no other political party has offered. “There is no time to sit idle. You must join the battle — a battle for the people, for the nation. For us, Bangladesh comes first and Bangladesh comes last. We must jump into this fight with full determination,” he declared.

He instructed BNP activists to take the party’s political and economic roadmap to every household, stressing the need to communicate directly with citizens. “You have to explain and convince the people. This is a difficult task, but there is no alternative. Just as we carried out our movement with public support, we also want to implement this plan with the people beside us.”

Referring to political activities in local communities, Tarique Rahman said, “I observed that some individuals are speaking in mosques. If they can speak, why can’t you? If you speak, others will speak; if you remain silent, no one will speak. You must make arrangements in your respective areas.”

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, who also addressed the event, said the party is preparing for a decisive electoral struggle. He added that Tarique Rahman’s return to Bangladesh would be a historic moment. “The day our leader returns and sets foot in Bangladesh, the entire nation will tremble,” he said.

Mirza Fakhrul asserted that the upcoming election is a crucial fight for BNP, adding, “We must secure complete victory in this election. Only then can we move Bangladesh forward and restore the democratic rights of its people.”

The discussion emphasized unity among party ranks and renewed commitments to an election-focused national campaign led directly by Tarique Rahman’s directives.
