Dhaka, Dec 13 (V7N)- BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has suggested examining whether there was any malicious intent behind the recent attack on Inqilab Manch spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi, warning that some groups may be trying to exploit such incidents for political gain.

He made the remarks on Saturday while speaking at the concluding session of BNP’s program titled ‘Plan for Building the Nation’ at the Krishibid Institution auditorium in Khamarbari in the capital.

Tarique Rahman said that attempts are being made to take advantage of recent attacks involving two political candidates, stressing the need for careful investigation to uncover the real motives behind such incidents.

Highlighting BNP’s vision for economic development, the BNP acting chairman said that late President Ziaur Rahman had opened the door for overseas employment, which played a vital role in strengthening the country’s economy. He added that BNP plans to further expand this sector by sending trained and skilled workers abroad in the future.

According to him, this initiative would bring a radical transformation to the national economy and create new opportunities for employment and income growth for the people of Bangladesh.
