Dhaka, Jan 24 (V7N) — Mahdi Amin, spokesperson of BNP’s election management committee and advisor to party chairman Tarique Rahman, has dismissed claims of an agreement between BNP and India as “complete propaganda.” He made the remarks during a press conference at the BNP election office in Gulshan on Saturday.

Mahdi Amin said that an influential leader of another political party had made the claim to a media outlet without presenting any evidence. “The statement has no truth or reality. It appears to be a political ploy to create controversy,” he added.

In the same briefing, Mahdi Amin highlighted BNP’s voter support initiatives for the upcoming 13th National Parliament election. The party has opened an election hotline (16543) and a WhatsApp number (01806977577) to provide information on election laws, guidelines, and to receive complaints or constructive suggestions from voters. He said numerous citizens have already contacted the hotline and received assistance on various issues.

Mahdi Amin also reported that a fraudulent group has been demanding money in the name of providing family cards and farmer cards. Action has been taken against the group, and he emphasized that if BNP comes to power, these cards will be distributed properly through the official authorities.
