Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader addressed concerns surrounding the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), stating that the party is responsible for its own internal challenges.

Quader made these remarks at an event in Dhaka on Wednesday, commemorating May Day. He emphasized that while Awami League does not seek to dismantle BNP, the party's internal divisions and conflicts contribute to its downfall.

Citing internal disunity among BNP leaders and historical events, Quader highlighted the stains on BNP's legacy, including accusations related to the closure of Adamjee Jute Mills and past acts of violence.

Quader urged workers to unite under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who has championed worker-friendly policies and increased the minimum wage for laborers.

The General Secretary also warned against external forces attempting to destabilize the garment industry and emphasized the importance of unity for national progress.
