Although the administration is "desperate" to urge voters to the polls, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi claimed on Wednesday December 27 that it is "not getting any response from people."

He further asserted that people are "quickly fleeing an area where they see ruling party candidates conduct electioneering" while speaking with reporters while handing out flyers in the city's Shantinagar neighbourhood.

"People are not participating in the fictitious and fake election that the nation's illegitimate leadership and the obedient Election Commission are holding. The ruling party is in a frantic attempt to mobilise voters to the polls. The BNP leader claimed that "they are threatening people and going from house to house."

In keeping with their party's three-day agenda, Rizvi and a few BNP leaders and volunteers handed out flyers to passersby advising them to abstain from the January 7 national election.
According to him, the government is pressuring citizens to participate in the biassed election in an attempt to turn the entire nation into a hellhole.
No voter in the nation is excited about the impending election, according to the BNP leader.
"You won't see any conversations among individuals about voting anywhere. People immediately attempt to flee any place where they (AL leaders) are conducting political campaigns in favour of boats. The populace claims that the 300 seats are being distributed theatrically rather than through voting.

According to Rizvi, the administration has incited fear among citizens across the nation by threatening to make them appear at polling places on January 7.

He said, "But we would like to tell the government that there is no point in issuing threats like terrorists because people will not cast ballots in fictitious elections."

Along with Rizvi, a large number of other BNP officials and opposition party leaders ran large-scale campaigns and handed out flyers throughout the city to rally support for their appeal to abstain from voting and work with the Awami League government.
