Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader accused the BNP of politicizing Khaleda Zia’s illness. He claimed BNP leaders are spreading falsehoods about her health to create public confusion. Quader stated that the people have rejected BNP’s political activities and labeled the party as a failed organization.

He highlighted that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina showed generosity by allowing Khaleda Zia, a convicted person in a graft case, to stay home and receive private hospital treatment. Quader warned BNP leaders not to incite violence and stated that the Awami League is committed to upholding the constitution and rule of law.
