Cox’s Bazar, Sep 13 (V7N) - Three members of a family lost their lives in a landslide at the Ukhiya Rohingya camp in Cox’s Bazar on Friday.
The tragic event occurred at 4:00 am in Hakimpur’s Camp-14, Ukhiya. Shamsud Doza Nayan, Additional Commissioner of the Cox's Bazar Relief and Rehabilitation Commission Office, confirmed the incident.
The victims were identified as Abdul Rahim, son of Kabir Ahmed from E-2 Block of Camp-14, along with Abdul Hafiz and Abdul Wahed.
Ataul Gani Osmani, Additional District Magistrate of Cox's Bazar, reported that six people in total have died due to landslides in the district, three of whom were Bangladeshis and three Rohingyas.
