Tangail, June 27 (V7N)- With the theme "Nutrition through Fruits, Smart Agriculture of Bangladesh," a three-day National Fruit Fair 2024 was held at the Gopalpur Upazila premises in Tangail.
 
The National Fruit Fair was inaugurated by cutting a cake and a ribbon, declared open by the Upazila Agriculture Officer Shamima Yasmin Sultana, organized by the Gopalpur Upazila Agriculture Extension Department.
 
The event was graced by the presence of the Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nazmul Hasan as the chief guest, along with Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Sharif Abdul Baset, Upazila Social Service Officer Md. Eklachur Rahman, Upazila Fisheries Officer Sudip Bhattacharya, Upazila Jute Officer Abdul Bashar, and various other officials and employees from different departments of the upazila.
 
The fair showcased various types of fruits that are on the verge of extinction.
