Myanmar authorities are taking back 330 citizens, including members of Myanmar's Border Guard Force (BGP), who took refuge in Bangladesh due to internal conflict. The transfer process is going on at Inani jetty in Cox's Bazar.
The handover process started shortly before 7:30 am on Thursday (February 15).
Incidentally, most of these citizens who have taken refuge are members of Myanmar's various forces. Among them are members of BGP, Army, Immigration and Police. Currently, 9 people are sick among the asylum seekers. 5 of them were under treatment at Cox's Bazar Medical College Hospital and 4 at Chittagong Medical Hospital yesterday.
It should be noted that due to the ongoing conflict inside the country, they fled to Bangladesh in several stages from February 4. Later Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) disarmed them and gave them shelter.
