"We've been working to bring Bangladesh closer to prosperity. This progress needs to continue. "Remain vigilant, as nobody can turn the nation back and turn it into Rajakar's home:" PM

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has urged everyone, especially Bangladeshis living abroad, to be vigilant so that no one can once more turn Bangladesh into a haven for the anti-liberation army and drive the nation back.

"We've been working to bring Bangladesh closer to prosperity. This progress needs to continue. "Remain vigilant, as nobody can turn the nation back and turn it into Rajakar's home," she said during a Friday night celebration held in her honor.

The reception was organized by the Bangladeshi diaspora in Germany at the Hotel Burgerhaus Garching in Munich. The premier also urged everyone to remain vigilant against any plot involving the destiny of their countrymen.

Sheikh Hasina has reaffirmed her intention to establish Bangladesh as a secular nation with equal rights for citizens of all faiths.

"We will materialise the dream of the Father of the Nation to transform Bangladesh into a prosperous, developed and smart Sonar Bangla with the spirit of the Liberation War and secularism," she stated.

The prime minister declared that she would not allow the triumph against the Pakistani occupation troops in the 1971 war to be lost and that she is dedicated to bringing the benefits of the Liberation War to every home.

"I always consider what I can do to improve the nation and its citizens, instead of what I need," she stated, adding that her children shared her commitment to the well-being of society.

Speaking of the Awami League as the people's party, she stated that under the leadership of the Father of the Nation, the people of the nation had achieved freedom via the Liberation War and the Language Movement, respectively, and that Bangla was their mother tongue.

"My greatest strength is the Awami League (AL). Because we have the party (in power), we have been able to combat several calamities like the Covid-19 epidemic," she remarked.

"Whenever I get chance, I work for the welfare of the people," Sheikh Hasina continued, adding that she has always attempted to do something for the general public.

She said that because the Awami League is always there to support them in times of need, the people have faith and confidence in the organization.

PM gave a quick overview of the nation's overall progress and stated that Bangladesh's socioeconomic development has greatly advanced.

"Our development goal is not only building mega establishments but also progressing at the grassroots," she stated.

The prime minister referred to the BNP as the party of looters, claiming that the group only works to further its own financial interests rather than promoting the welfare of the populace.

She took a harsh stance against the BNP, claiming that it abstained from the 12th parliamentary election out of fear of losing because they burned cars and deaths by burning.

She said that they abstained from voting since they were certain that no one would support them.

"The party which was formed by a military dictator always believes in agencies and they can do nothing without their help," she stated.

The head of state accused the BNP of undermining the electoral process by organizing a presidential election and a yes/no vote.

"BNP snatched away the voting rights of the people and made the election farcical through manipulations," she stated.

However, after a protracted battle, the Awami League has given the people back the ability to cast ballots, she said.

The country's voters, especially women, cast unrestricted ballots in the most recent parliamentary elections, which the premier claimed was the most free, fair, and credible since 1975.

"The enormous growth that has occurred throughout the previous 15 years under the AL rule from 2009 would have been destroyed if the Awami League had not been voted into power this time. "Everything would be looted by the BNP looters," she declared.

Sheikh Hasina also reaffirmed her invitation to Bangladeshis living abroad to transfer money using banking methods.

She urged the Bangladeshis living abroad to make investments in the economic zones with international partners, mentioning that her government has been creating 100 economic zones around the nation.

For the foreigners to serve their nation, people, and themselves, the prime minister also urged them to get ready.

She claimed that transferring skilled labor overseas was a primary objective for her government.

"We have been working with the target and for which we are developing skilled manpower," she stated.

By the Awami League's 2024 election promise, the prime minister said that her government had made Bangladesh digital and would flourish, prosper, and create a Smart Bangladesh by 2041.

Foreign Minister and Awami League Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud and the local mayor of Munich spoke while Bangladesh Ambassador to Germany Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan moderated the function.
