Madaripur, July 10 (V7N) – Bangladesh’s Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has issued a formal notice to Aishi Khan, daughter of former Member of Parliament and ex-Minister of Shipping Shajahan Khan, requesting a detailed declaration of her assets.

The notice was physically posted on the main entrance of Shajahan Khan’s residence in the New Town area of Madaripur on Thursday afternoon. In the presence of local police and five witnesses, ACC officials affixed the document, officially launching a 21-working-day countdown for submission.

According to Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Assistant Director of the ACC’s Madaripur office, a complaint was filed at ACC headquarters alleging that Aishi Khan had acquired significant wealth through corrupt practices. Following preliminary review and a previous summons to appear at the ACC’s Dhaka office—which she did not attend—the commission has now issued this written directive.

ACC representative Jewel Ahmed delivered the notice to Madaripur and, with assistance from the local ACC team, ensured it was served in accordance with protocol.

The letter instructs Aishi Khan to submit a full list of her movable and immovable assets within 21 working days. Failure to comply will result in legal action, including the filing of a corruption case under applicable laws.

This move is part of the ACC’s broader initiative to investigate unexplained wealth and ensure transparency from public figures and their immediate family members.
