Tangail, July 11 (V7N) – Khondoker Ahmedul Haque Satil, former president of Tangail district’s Jubo Dal and former joint secretary of district BNP, has officially announced his candidacy for the Tangail-5 (Sadar) seat in the upcoming national parliamentary elections.

He made this announcement during a press conference held at the Tangail Press Club auditorium on Thursday afternoon.

In his written statement, he stated, "We must build a democratic, prosperous, and dignified Bangladesh. The prerequisite for a democratic state is the participation of the people in a free, fair, and impartial national election. The interim government has already announced the timeline for the upcoming elections. Therefore, to ensure victory for the nationalist party, we must stand by the people in accordance with the directives of our leader Tarique Rahman, win the love and trust of the people, and dedicate ourselves to securing victory with the participation of leaders, activists, and supporters at every level of the party."

Among those present at the press conference were Shamshuzzaman Khan Rontu, former vice-president of Tangail town BNP, Kamruzzaman Khan, vice-president of the district Chhatra Dal, former Chhatra Dal leader Enamul Haque Shadhin, labor leader Babul Sorkar, former AGS of JAKSUR Moklessur Rahman Badal, former vice-president of district Jubo Dal Atikuzzaman Tutul, and several other leaders and activists from various levels of the party.
