In a decisive win, Sheikh Sarhan Nasser (Tanmoy) of the Awami League has emerged victorious in the Bagerhat-2 (Sadr and Kachua) constituency. Privately released outcomes reveal that Sheikh Tanmoy secured a substantial margin, amassing 172,000 votes under the boat symbol across 125 centers in two sub-districts.

The control rooms, returning officers, and assistant returning officers confirmed this data, emphasizing the credibility of the election results. Tanmoy's main rival, Hazra Shahidul Islam, running under the plow symbol for the National Party, fell short in the race.

With a total of 320,000 votes cast and six candidates in the fray, Sheikh Tanmoy has been re-elected as the Member of Parliament for Bagerhat-2 for the second term. This victory underscores the Awami League's continued influence in the region and Sheikh Tanmoy's popularity among voters.
