The Awami League won the 12th National Parliamentary Election, and Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on her successful campaign.

PM Sheikh Hasina received sincere greetings and well wishes this morning from Chinese officials through Ambassador Yao.

When the Chinese ambassador paid PM Hasina a visit at Ganabhaban, he reiterated that Chinese leaders are dedicated to collaborating with her to maintain the long-standing friendship, strengthen mutual trust, and expand practical cooperation—all of which will help to raise the China-Bangladesh Strategic Partnership of Cooperation to unprecedented levels.

As Ambassador Yao pointed out, China and Bangladesh are both going through a crucial period of development and rejuvenation, and China will always be Bangladesh's most dependable ally and partner as it moves towards modernization.

China and Bangladesh have established a model of mutual respect and win-win cooperation under the leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, according to the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka.

China declared that it will stand behind Bangladesh in defending its independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity as well as against outside meddling.

According to the embassy, China would also help Bangladesh stay united and stable and take a more active part in regional and international issues.

It stated that China is dedicated to helping Bangladesh realise its "Vision 2041" and "Sonar Bangla" dreams.

According to Ambassador Yao, China is ready to fortify its overall partnership with Bangladesh, as well as take the necessary steps to facilitate and increase trade and investment with Bangladesh and advance the China-Bangladesh Belt.
