Dhaka, Feb 28 (V7N) – The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has temporarily suspended all flights from Bangladesh to several destinations in the Middle East amid rising military tensions in the region. The suspension will remain in effect until further notice.

Domestic airlines, including Biman Bangladesh Airlines and US-Bangla Airlines, operate regular flights to Middle Eastern destinations. US-Bangla Airlines confirmed that its Dubai-bound flight has safely reached its destination, while Biman flight BG349, en route from Dhaka to Dammam, was reportedly returning midway.

The move follows a joint military attack by Israel and United States on Iran early Saturday morning (February 28), targeting five cities, including the capital Tehran, amid tensions over Tehran’s nuclear program. In response, Iran has launched counterattacks targeting US bases in neighboring countries, including Israel.

Authorities have urged travelers to stay updated on flight schedules and follow instructions from airlines and airport officials.
