The operation, which began on Wednesday (May 15) pre-dawn, has so far led to the arrest of two terrorists in the vicinity of the Arsa stronghold on Lal hill, adjacent to the Rohingya camp in Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar. Subsequently, a significant amount of weapons, grenades, and rocket cells have been recovered from the area.

It is known that for several days, incidents of killing Rohingya, including camp leaders, by shooting and throat slitting, have been occurring in the camp. In view of this, RAB has increased surveillance in the camp and initiated the operation based on specific information, identifying the presence of the Arsa stronghold in the deep hills adjacent to the camp in Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar.

Lieutenant Colonel Sajjad Hossain, the commander of RAB-15, said the operation started from Tuesday night. Then the entire Lal hill was surrounded. At one stage, when RAB's presence was detected, the terrorists started firing bullets, followed by exchanges of fire with RAB. Then RAB and the terrorists exchanged gunfire.

He further said that so far, two operations have been conducted in two strongholds. At this time, two Rohingya terrorists have been able to recover a large quantity of weapons, including firearms, rocket cells, and grenades. Details will be provided later.
