Patuakhali, July 3 (V7N)- Md. Mohibbur Rahman MP, State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief, stated that TK 20 million has been allocated for five flood-affected districts, including Sylhet, Sunamganj, and Moulvibazar. Additionally, TK 50 million was previously allocated to assist those affected by Cyclone Remal. 
 
The government is taking all effective measures to assist the flood victims. He made these remarks on Wednesday at 11 AM during the distribution of corrugated iron sheets to 52 Cyclone Remal victims and checks to 58 cancer patients at the Kalapara Upazila Parishad Hall in Patuakhali.
 
The State Minister further mentioned that the government extends its helping hand not only to Bangladeshis but also to people in other countries during disasters. During the event, he distributed checks to 200 people from the Minister’s discretionary fund and the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund, provided dry food to 250 people through the Red Crescent Society, and distributed 3,000 fruit saplings with the assistance of the Forest Department.
