Dhaka, August 22 — The Meteorological Department has issued a storm warning for 11 regions across Bangladesh, predicting gusty winds with a maximum speed of 60 km per hour. The warning is part of the weather forecast for the country's internal river ports, valid from 9 am to 6 pm on Thursday.

According to the forecast, rain or thundershowers accompanied by winds from the south or southeast at speeds of 45-60 km per hour are expected to affect the regions of Dhaka, Madaripur, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mymensingh, and Sylhet.

River ports in these areas have been advised to display warning signal number 1, indicating the likelihood of temporary storms. Authorities and residents in the affected regions are urged to take necessary precautions.
