The Bangladesh JeAssociation (Bajus) announced in a press release on Tuesday evening that this new price will be effective in local markets from Wednesday.
The price of refined gold has increased in the local market, and Bajus has said that the new price has been set considering the overall situation.
According to the new prices, in addition to 22-carat, the price of 21-carat gold per bhori is set at Tk147,900, 18-carat gold per bhori at Tk126,776, and the traditional gold per bhori is priced at Tk104,498.
Along with the gold sale price, a mandatory 5% VAT as determined by the government and a minimum labor charge of 6% as set by Bajus must be added.
