Dhaka, Nov 14 (V7N) — The price of gold has surged again within just two days, rising by Tk 5,248 per bhori today. With the latest hike, the price of 22-carat gold has crossed Tk 2,13,000 per bhori.

The new rates came into effect on Friday morning.

Earlier, on Wednesday, the Bangladesh Jewelers Association increased the price by Tk 4,188 per bhori, pushing the total rise to over Tk 9,000 in two days.

The global gold market has remained highly unstable for the past two months, with frequent fluctuations. Internationally, the price per ounce recently climbed to USD 4,238, before falling back to USD 4,190. This volatility has directly affected the domestic market.

As per the updated rates:

  • 21-carat gold now costs Tk 2,04,003 per bhori

  • Traditional gold stands at Tk 1,45,520 per bhori
