London, Sep 17 (V7N)- Global crude oil prices fell for a second consecutive day on Thursday as concerns over potential disruptions to international supplies eased amid a proposal to ship additional Saudi Arabian crude through Oman.
During early trading on Thursday, international benchmark Brent crude futures fell by $1.24, or 1.2 percent, to $104.59 per barrel.
At the same time, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures declined by $1.14, or 1.1 percent, to $101.29 per barrel.
The latest decline followed a sharper drop on Wednesday, when both Brent and WTI prices fell by around $3 per barrel.
The easing of supply concerns came amid continuing tensions in the Middle East, with the proposed movement of additional Saudi crude cargoes through Oman helping reduce fears of a major disruption to global oil supplies.
Market participants are closely monitoring developments in the region, particularly potential threats to energy transportation routes and their impact on global crude supplies.
Despite the recent declines, oil prices remain elevated, reflecting continued uncertainty over the security of energy supplies amid geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
