Dhaka, Feb 12 (V7N) – The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Traffic Division filed 1,906 cases in a single day against individuals violating traffic laws in the capital. The extensive drive, conducted on Tuesday (February 11), also resulted in numerous fines and the removal of vehicles from the roads.

According to a press release issued by the DMP's Media and Public Relations Division on Wednesday, the crackdown led to the dumping of 181 vehicles and the wrecking of 63 others. These actions were part of a broader initiative to enforce traffic discipline and reduce congestion across Dhaka.

The statement emphasized that the DMP's Traffic Division will continue its operations to ensure smoother traffic flow and enhance road safety in the Dhaka metropolitan area.

The DMP urged motorists to adhere strictly to traffic regulations to avoid legal consequences and contribute to maintaining order on the city’s often-congested streets.
